Dr. Lauren Lesage

Lauren Lesage was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario, and graduated from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry in 2022. She also completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo with a major in Biomedical Sciences.

During her optometric training, Lauren completed externships in rural Saskatchewan and Waterdown, Ontario where she had the opportunity to provide comprehensive eye exams to patients of all ages and backgrounds. She has been thoroughly trained to manage complex ocular conditions, examine children’s eyes, and enjoys fitting many different types of contact lenses. She completed rotations through each of the University of Waterloo’s specialty clinics, such as the binocular vision clinic and ocular health clinic.

Prior to starting optometry school, Lauren volunteered for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) where she worked alongside patients with low vision to help them lead more independent and meaningful lives. She also volunteers with Campfire Circle, which is an organization that provides camp programs for children with cancer and their families.

In her spare time, Lauren enjoys playing and watching sports (especially hockey!) and lives in Mountsberg, Ontario with her family. She strongly believes in the importance of patient education and is excited to provide quality eye care as a part of our practice.
